What if you had only a month to live, and God tasked you with writing a letter to your descendants telling them about Him? Your “Legacy Letter”. What would you write? Where would you even start?
Now, think of how Moses must have felt as he reached the last month of his life, and God asked him to write his final letter to an entire nation- the letter we call Deuteronomy. Moses was really writing God’s Word, just as he always had before, but this time he had a new urgency in his words. Moses was about to die, and the people were going to enter the promised land and become a great nation, but without him.
“Hear” and “Listen” is what the Lord God told His people Israel through Moses’ Legacy Letter. He warned them to hear, listen, keep God’s commands, and not forget Him.
Jesus quoted Deuteronomy more than any other Old Testament book as He showed and taught His followers how to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. If Jesus thought Deuteronomy was that important for our time on earth, then shouldn’t we be studying and learning all we can from Moses’ Legacy Letter?

What is “Prayer and Share”?
Prayer and Share is a time for ladies of all ages coming together to have coffee and cookies or banana bread and sharing informally our concerns and praises. We then lift everything up to God in prayer and have a short Bible study. The study is a little slower pace than the other Bible studies and doesn’t require a lot of homework. Once a month we celebrate birthdays of those in the group and have a potluck lunch along with a special cake. Everyone brings a funny birthday card for the Birthday girls. We also have a Christmas party and potluck to celebrate the season. There is a nursery worker to babysit for mothers during the time we are meeting from 9:45-11:30am Wednesday mornings weekly. It is a time to stop and be refreshed with fellow sisters in Christ and make new friends. By Patsy Wilcox
