Welcome to Aldersgate Nursery!
Our nursery is designed to be a place where young children can experience the love of Christ in a way they can enjoy. They will not only have their needs met but also enjoy playful interaction with adults and other children. In this way the parent is freed to fully take part in the class or service he or she desires to attend. Of course, parents are welcome to hang around here, too.
We believe a child’s first impressions of God’s house are formed here, and that our little children are our most impressionable members. We are here to minister to them…and thereby minister to their families and the whole church body.
What’s Available for my child? The nursery serves children newborn through age 3.
Sunday Morning:
9:15 During the Sunday School hour the nursery is for ages 0 and 1, while 2-3 year olds participate in an age appropriate Discipleland class all their own (held in Room 11, the Garden Room, at 9:15).
At 10:15, 2 year olds return to the nursery complex to play in the Toddler room. The 3 year olds are taken to meet with the 4 year olds in “Children’s Church” in Room 12, The Bible Times Room.
10:30 During the Worship hour, 3-year-olds meet with the 4-year-olds in “Children’s Church”, held in Room 12, The Bible Times Room. Their time there will reinforce the lesson they learned in Discipleland.
Two-year-olds remain in the nursery area play room through the Worship Service.
The babies remain in the nursery the entire morning.

Sunday Evenings: During the Sunday Evening service, ages 0-3 all meet in the main nursery room. During Small Group Bible Studies which meet at the church twice a month, babysitting is available in the nursery for other ages as well.
Other times:
During Wednesday night Pioneer Club time, 7:00-8:00pm., the nursery is open for ages 0-3.
A Nursery is provided for preschool children, by reservation, for the Wednesday morning Ladies’ Bible Studies.
Upon a child’s 4th birthday he(she) graduates up to the next class offered for all services. Children’s classes are listed on the other pages under the Children’s ministries menu.
How are these services provided?
The nursery is primarily staffed by church members who desire to minister to young children and their families. Many are parents or grandparents of the babies. There is also a Nursery Ministry Team who organizes volunteers and paid workers, and keeps the physical part of the nursery maintained. For more information, or to become involved, you can call the church office, 903-455-9199, or e-mail the church office at office “at” aldersgate-church “dot” com
or contact the nursery team leader, Amber Pitts, 903-455-4297.
What if my child is sick?
If you child is/was sick, we ash that he/she not be left in the nursery for at least 24 hours after a fever has broken, or according to the guidelines posted outside the nursery door. If your child appears to become sick while in our care, we will call you immediately. Our goal is to make the Nursery a safe place for all. Everything is cleaned and disinfected after each use. We try to take the utmost care not to spread those invisible germs. If you are in doubt, use the golden rule. Consider others.
