Habitat for Humanity is a Christian organization which seeks to help deserving families in need. http://www.habitat.org/
We would like to reach as many people as possible in order to provide a deserving family with a new home. This is the first build in a few years and so we are trying to get the word out as much as possible.
There are many opportunities for people to get involved. Whether they are looking for long term committment or just to simply show up one day and help out with the task at hand.
Any and all assistance is and will be greatly appreciated. No special skills required.

Hunt County Shared Ministries
Sometimes, life goes awry. People may find themselves without the basic things we all need, like food, utilities, medicine or money to pay the rent. This agency helps people get back on their feet during hard times. FISH is the short name of Hunt County Shared Ministries.
You can purchase pantry bags at the local grocers also to help replace food from the FISH pantry.
They are located at 3724 Oneal Street.
Every month, on the first Sunday of the month, Aldersgate Church will take a benevolence offering for Hunt County Shared Ministries to help insure that they are able to continue the work of providing for those Jesus loved.
